About Us
Welcome to createbets.com, where you can create any bet, accept any bet, and browse any bet between two people. Whether you want to wager on who will win the World Series, who the next Bachelor will be, or if your favorite basketball player will score over 30 tonight, you create the bet, and have the internet at your disposal to take the other side of your bet.
Simply click on Create a Bet, and fill in the specifics of your wager. Details such as the odds you want, the amount of points wagered, and the expiration date are completed with your custom bet and posted to the site. Once someone accepts your wager, you will receive an email notifying you of the accepted bet. Then wait to see what happens. If the outcome of your bet has occurred prior to the expiration date, you can close out of your bet (win or lose) from your My Bets page. Or you can wait for the expiration date to arrive, and close out of your wager from an automated email directly to your inbox. The points’ earnings will automatically be transferred to your account.
Would you prefer to create a custom bet against only your friend? We can do that too – click ‘Private’ when creating your bet, and fill in your friend’s email. He or she can choose to accept or reject the offer. You and your friend agree to determine the winner of the wager, and we’ll keep track of all past bets and outcomes as well as your record and total winnings against each of your opponents.
Don’t have a specific bet in mind? Browse our Custom Bets page to see Open bets created by others. See an Open bet you would like to accept? Just click Accept the Bet, and confirm the details before submitting.

FAQ's
CREATE A BET PAGE
Q: I am unable to click on the CREATE BET button after creating a bet. Why?
A: If the CREATE BET button is inactive, that means you have not logged into your account (you need to set up an account in order to create a bet). Click on the SIGN IN / SIGN UP button to access your account/sign up for an account.
Q: How many points can I wager?
A: When you sign up for an account, you automatically receive 1,000 points to wager on when either creating your own bet or accepting another person's bet. If you either create a bet or accept a bet with a wager that is more than is in your account, you will receive a notice that you have insufficient funds – you can either click on the prompted button to receive another 1,000 points or lower your wager.
Q: When creating a bet, what does it mean to check the box *Please check this box if you want your bet to be accepted in full by only one opponent?
A: If you create a bet with a certain wager and DO NOT click that box, an opponent can wager any amount up to and including that wager. Therefore, you might have an accepted bet for an amount of points that is less than you wager. On the other hand, if you DO click that box, only your full wager can be accepted by an opponent. If your bet is accepted, this ensures you will have your wager met. However, if your wager is high, it could detract opponents from accepting your bet.
Q: What does ‘Odds I want mean?
A: If you create a bet that you believe is more likely NOT to happen, you want what is called ‘Odds’. This means that if outcome of the bet you created DOES occur, you receive more points than what you wagered. For example, if you create a bet with a 100 point wager and you want 2 TO 1 odds, then if the outcome does occur, you would receive 200 points from your opponent in addition to retrieving back your original 100 point wager. In contrast, if you create a bet you believe is more likely TO happen, you probably will make your odds to be inversed. For example, if you create a bet with a 100 point wager and you want 1 TO 2 odds, then if the outcome does occur, you would receive 50 points from your opponent in addition to retrieving back your original 100 point wager.
Q: How are my projected winnings calculated?
A: Your projected winnings are calculated as follows:
Wager * (1st box of Odds I want/2nd box of Odds I want)
CUSTOM BETS PAGE
Q: Why can't I find the bet I created on the CUSTOM BETS page?
A: Since you can't accept your own bet, any bet you have created will not appear on the CUSTOM BETS page. You can see all bets (both ones you have created, and ones you have accepted) on your MY BETS page.
Q: I am unable to click on Accept this bet. Why?
A: If the Accept this bet button is inactive, that means you have not logged into your account (you need to set up an account in order to Accept a bet). Click on the SIGN IN / SIGN UP button to access your account/sign up for an account.
Q: I entered a Wager for 100 points and clicked on the Accept this bet button. Why is my Projected Winnings not 100 points?
A: Your Projected Winnings are based on the number you entered in the Wager box and what Your Odds are. When you click the Accept this bet button, you are accepting the creator’s odds, thus making your odds the inverse of the creator’s. For example, if you enter a wager for 100 points, and the creator of the bet has odds of 2 To 1, then your odds are 1 To 2. So your Projected Winnings are calculated as follows:
Projected Winnings = Wager * (1st number of Your Odds/2nd number of Your Odds)
Projected Winnings = 100 * (1/2) = 50 points

Q: What does Your Record is: and Net Winnings are: mean?
A: Your Record is the number of winning bets versus the number of losing bets you have. For instance, if you have won 4 bets and have lost 2 bets, your Record is 4-2. Net Winnings is the net amount of points you have either won or lost. For example, if you won a bet for 200 points and lost a different bet for 50 points, your Net Winnings is +150 points. On the other hand, if you won a bet for 100 points and lost a bet for 300 points, your Net Winnings is -200 points.
Q: How do I close out a bet/determine winner?
A: If you have an Open bet and the outcome has occurred prior to the Expiration date arriving, you can go to your MY BETS page, and click on the Open button under Status. From there, you can click on CLOSE BET/DETERMINE WINNER and select the username that won the bet. If you have an Open bet and have not closed it out prior to the Expiration date, you will receive an email the day after the Expiration Date arrives. The email will allow you to determine the winner directly. Please note that if a bet reaches its Expiration date, you can only close the bet/determine winner through the email received.
Q: Why is the number of Winnings different than the number of points I actually won?
A: The Winnings figure you see includes your original wager. For example, if you wagered 100 points, your odds were 2 To 1, and someone accepted your bet in full, then 300 points would show under the Winnings column (your original 100 point wager plus the 200 points you won from your opponent). However, if you click on Closed button, you will see the amount of points you actually won against your opponent.
Q: Where can I find my Private Bets on the MY BETS page?
A: The default setting on the MY BETS page is for Public Bets (both ones you have accepted and ones you have created). To see your Private Bets, simply click on MY BETS at the top of the screen, then select Private Bets.
